Senior Accountant

Quazar is looking for a highly motivated person to join our Client Accounting department within the group.

Reporting directly to the Assistant Finance Manager, the successful candidate will be actively involved in the day-to-day accounting requirements within the department.

​

The duties of the Employee shall include but shall not be limited to, the following:

• Responsible of a small portfolio of clients

• Reviewing team member’s work for accuracy and compliance

• Mentoring junior accountants

• Compiling management accounts and completing VAT Returns

• Preparing ad-hoc financial reports by analysing and summarizing accounting information

• Liaising with auditors

• Preparation of payroll computations

• Perform other tasks as may be delegated by the Finance Manager from time to time

Requirements:

​

• Applicants must be in the professional/ final stages of ACCA or in possession of a university degree in accounting or be ACCA / ACA qualified

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role

• Able to work against deadlines and deliver in a timely manner

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proficient with MS office applications, particularly Excel

• Proven ability to quickly learn new information, processes, and procedures

• Ability to work on own initiative and in a team

• Having a Maltese driver’s license would be considered an asset
